The cat will not be transferred in the new owner's name until we have received documentation that the cat has been neutered/sterilized at 5-6 months of age. This applies if the cat has not already been castrated/sterilised at the time of sale. Other conditions apply when buying a cat for breeding.

With the cat you get:

â™¡ Kitten starter kit from Royal Canin

     â™¡ Blanket with familiar smells

     â™¡ Toy

     â™¡ Kittenguide

We will also be available to answer questions and give advice and guidance throughout the cat's life.

We would like updates on how things are going and pictures of the cat you have bought, even when everything is going well.

Feel free to share photos/videos on our Facebook page and tag us in photos on Facebook or Instagram @throneofsavannahs.

We recommend that the new owner obtain a scratching post/claw post and toys before getting the cat. The Savannah is an active, playful and intelligent breed that needs stimulation. Also have cat litter ready for the day when collecting/delivery. Bring a transport bag/cage or contact us if we should get this for you. You can see a simple to-do list for what we recommend having ready when buying a cat at the bottom of the page.

Kittens will be ready for delivery when they are 14 - 16 weeks old. They will then be well socialized and clean.

What should you think about before getting a cat?

Getting a cat means that you take on the responsibility of a life - and at the same time get a lot of joy for many years to come. There is a lot to think about when you are looking for a new family member. Therefore, we want our buyers to think carefully about the responsibility they are taking on before choosing to get a kitten, especially if you have never had a cat before.

Does anyone in the family have allergies?

In families with children who may have been too little or have never been in contact with animals before, it is important that you check this carefully before getting a cat. You are welcome to visit us without obligation by appointment to see if anyone in the family reacts to our cats. This will save you from a potentially tragic situation if it turns out that someone in the family is allergic after the cat has moved to your home and you run the risk of having to get rid of the cat. We expect that buyers who approach us have clarified the allergy status in their family first.

Do you have time for a new family member in the next 10-15 years?

Kittens are small and cute. But they don't stay small very long, they grow fast.

We want kittens from our cattery to come to a home where they remain a member of the family for the rest of their lives, regardless of age, and that they are just as well cared for as kittens, adult cats and old cats. Think through how you will do it regards to holidays, will the cat come along? Then it would be an advantage if it gets used to driving from a young age and perhaps to wearing a harness. Will someone else look after the cat while you are on holiday? Will they always be available to look after the cat?

Can you afford to always give the cat what it needs?

We test all our cats that are used in breeding. Nevertheless, one has no guarantee that diseases cannot arise in the future or an acute emergency or accident - living beings never come with a guarantee for this. It is therefore important to consider having insurance for the cat. Veterinary costs can be expensive! We expect the cat to be followed up with recommended annual vaccinations and health checks.
